Binah Yetera is committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 expectations for accessible digital experiences.
What we've done
- A persistent accessibility menu on the side of the screen: enlarge text, high contrast, highlighted links, readable font, large cursor, and stop animations. Your choices are saved between visits.
- Semantic HTML5 structure so the page is navigable with screen readers.
- Full keyboard navigation, including a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large headings and interface elements.
- Alternative text (alt) for all meaningful images, and ARIA labels for icon-only buttons and links.
- A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
- Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion system setting: animations are disabled for users who request it.
